This edition of the Deep Routes curriculum features profiles primarily on Black/African American chefs, cooks, and farmers of the Southern United States and Great Migration.

Over time we plan to feature more Black and Brown people who have contributed to foodways across BIPOC cultures. People profiles are one-page long biographies and the entire collection is featured in the People & Places book which also includes bibliographies following each profile/chapter.
