A Gathering of Stones: Stories of Communal Grain Production

Grains have been a cornerstone of human survival for centuries, as well as a crucial touchpoint for global Indigenous communities as well as their diasporas to gather and steward traditions of sustenance.

Join us this Saturday at The Brooklyn Botanic’s Making Brooklyn Bloom conference to journey through some of these histories of grain production and milling technologies with rice, corn, sorghum, and wheat as our guides. Flour will be freshly milled in this session and available for folks to bring home to continue their grain conversations..

TIME SLOTS: 11am-12pm AND 3-4pm

FREE Admission but on-site registration for workshops starts at 10am and typically fill up quickly at this conference, so it’s beneficial to get there on time.
