In this first installment of the series we follow chef Vanessa Coquillo, mother, self taught chef, caterer, and photographer; who has roots in the Artibonite and Gonaives regions of Haiti. She shares her background growing up cooking and enjoying Haitian cuisine, as well as the influences and experiences she’s had on her culinary journey as she prepares Lalo ak Diri Blanc.
