Chili Peppers
Chili Peppers are heat loving plants in the Solanaceae plant family, that typically grow in small bushes producing multiple globes of fruit that can come in a variety of colors including red, brown, yellow, purple, orange, and (when under-ripe) green. They can also have patterns like stripes on their shiny skins, like the Fish Pepper variety for example. Chili peppers have their origins in multiple regions across South and Central America, and in this profile we go into their culinary and agricultural history.
